Shipping Operations - Supervisor

PT. Andhika GAC is looking for candidates for the role of Shipping Operation Supervisor to be based in Jakarta. Could it be you?

Job Description

Maintain proper coordination with principals, vessel masters, port operations staff, cargo receivers and suppliers to ensure the smooth turnaround of vessels.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Communication with principals/terminals/companies/port authorities.
• Arrange advance payment of port charges to terminal operators/port authority for berthing of vessel.
• Send Proforma Disbursement to principals/follow up receipt of remittance.
• Handling of ships’ spares, mail, crew changes, crew medical, etc.
• Updating appropriate operational supporting register and application.
• Coordination with local agent/suppliers when necessary.
• Reply to enquiries within 2 hours of the first email received from customers.
• Handling Agency Services duties once we receive appointment letter, as per SDP Operations.
• Sending information from local agents, terminal, and authorities to ship/owners/principals/charterer, as required.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree from Maritime University.

• 3-5 years’ experience with a shipping company

• Knowledge of ship agency management.

• Good communication skills in both Bahasa and English.

• Ability to work within a team, collaborate, be honest in work, and have a high sense of responsibility.

• Good health.

• Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including operational planning, vendor management, technical evaluations, and solutions.
