Shipping Operations Coordinator

GAC Saudi Arabia is looking for a smart and energetic Shipping Operations Coordinator. The job role includes:

• Ensure timely & accurate and effective management of services & supplies to the vessel as required by Principals.
• Well-versed with Operational Software and timely and accurate entries, including job opening and closing.
• Proactive and effective communication with internal and external clients & colleagues. (Continuous communication with all involved parties; General cargo vessel operation coordination & updating the manifest Import /Export - ODS /GACAGENT system; Delivery to stevedore notification)
• Establish good communication with GAC Suppliers, and negotiate to obtain the best rates and cost-effective service solutions.
• Ensure timely closing of job files, timely submission of PDA, invoicing, and make sure all due payments are recovered.
• Monitor / route and action emails throughout the day to ensure timely response. Follow KPI’s.
• Serve as a role model in upholding the GAC Code of Ethics, Compliance, QHSSE Policies, and GAC Spirit.

Educational Qualification: 

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

Professional Qualification:

Shipping + Logistics short diplomas (If any).

Specialist Knowledge:

Familiarity with international shipping operations ( Bulk vessel, Roro vessel ) shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.

Communication / Language:

Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus),

Computer Aptitude:

Comfortable using various software tools, including Microsoft Office, shipping management systems, and possibly Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

Experience Levels:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
