Trainee Shipping Agent - Spain

GAC is currently recruiting for a fulltime Trainee Shipping Agent, based at the port of Algeciras, Spain.

The key responsibilities are:

• Booking vessels in and out of port with all relevant stakeholders
• Capturing accurate costs incurred during port calls
• Visiting vessels and handling any local requirements
• Maintaining good relations with customers and stakeholders
• Oversee delivery of spare parts 

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications
• Strong English communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
• Produce and maintain accurate documents
• Recent graduates interested in the ship agency industry are encouraged to apply
• A background in maritime studies or seagoing experience is advantageous but not essential
