GAC Shipping Ireland is looking for candidates for the role of Shipping Agent & Cargo Surveyor to be based in Dublin.  Could it be you?

GAC Shipping Ireland employs over 200 experts across more than 20 physical offices covering all of the UK, Ireland and Gibraltar. We deliver a wide range of integrated shipping, logistics and marine services to the energy and shipping industries. We also serve specialised sectors like marine leisure, sports and events, automotive and aviation providing complex and time-critical logistics solutions. Due to expansion, GAC Shipping Ireland are currently recruiting for a Shipping Agent & Cargo Surveyor based in Dublin.

A brief summary of the role and requirements are as follows :-

  • Manage end to end vessel coordination

  • Maintain excellent customer and supplier relations

  • Effectively manage shipping documentation and customs declarations

  • Ensure compliance with customs, immigration and international maritime regulations

  • Act as the main point of contact between the vessel, port and stakeholders

  • Cargo handling and logistics management

  • Surveying

  • Supporting crew changes, medical needs, and vessel supplies

  • Conducting tank surveys and sample testing

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-4 years experience in ship agency

  • Good industry, customs and marine or shipping operations knowledge

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and Outlook

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Full and clean driving license
