Could you be our new Shipping Agent?

·        Location: Bilbao office.

·        Reporting to: Eider Fuldain

·        Department / team: Shipping

·        Employment Type: Full-time

·        Travel requirements: N/A

·        Key Tech/Tools: Microsoft office

 

What would your day at GAC look like?

 

  • Oversee all port agency operations for vessels calling at Bilbao.

  • Coordinate with port authorities, customs, immigration, and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation for vessel arrivals, departures, and cargo handling.

  • Maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, and local service providers.

  • Ensure compliance with Spanish maritime regulations and international standards.

  • Manage emergency situations and resolve operational challenges effectively.

Job requirements

 

What are we looking for?

  1.        Education: Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Administration, Profesional Education related to International Commerce, Shipping or Transportation.

  2.        Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping agency operations.

  3.        Technical Skills: Microsoft office / Proficiency in port community systems and shipping software.

  4.        Soft skills: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
