Role: Shipping Agent

Locations: Bilbao, Spain

 

We want you in our team!  

We are looking for the right candidate to join our team in Bilbao, Spain, as a Shipping Agent on a full-time basis. Could it be you?

·         Department / team: Shipping

What would your day at GAC look like?

If appointed, you will:

  • Oversee all port agency operations for vessels calling at Bilbao.

  • Coordinate with port authorities, customs, immigration and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation for vessel arrivals, departures and cargo handling.

  • Maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers and local service providers.

  • Ensure compliance with Spanish maritime regulations and international standards.

  • Manage emergency situations and resolve operational challenges effectively.

 

What are we looking for?

  1.       Education: Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or Business Administration.

  2.       Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping agency operations.

  3.       Technical Skills: Microsoft office / Proficiency in port community systems and shipping software.

  4.       Soft skills: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
