GAC Bahrain is looking for candidates for the role of Ship Spare Coordinator to be based in Kingdom of Bahrain. Could it be you?
Coordinate with vessel owners copying operation team, their suppliers, vendors and shippers on documentation requirements for Bahrain Customs clearance. Provide updated clearance procedures.
Check draft CIPL and confirm all in order as per current Bahrain customs rules and regulations for smooth customs clearance without penalty and without customs issues.
If any ministry approval requirements, inform concerned client/supplier/vendor, coordinate with respective ministries and fulfill their requirements within time frame.
Keep concerned person in the Operations team informed of any delays/problems occurring on documentation requirements.
Coordinate with airways, local container liner agencies for ETA and D/O release.
Coordinate with transporters to arrange suitable pick up, truck and trailers on time after airport cargo clearance, at seaport to load container for inspection. Coordinate with transporters to confirm safe deliveries at assigned locations by clients.
Send pre-alerts to GAC warehouse & clients allocated warehouse / on board vessels.
Complete documentation procedures within minimum time frame to avoid storage at BAS / Seaport. (D/O collections, Bank cashier’s cheque for customs duty, file handing over to CCA etc.)
Close files within the stipulated time frame with all correct documents, complete transport POD copy with date & time of cargo receipt & delivery. Pass all supplier invoices/ issue LPO prior to service.
Communication skills – ability to communicate within and outside GAC using the English language.
Computer knowledge - Basic knowledge of MS Office applications
Education - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Minimum 2-3 years of Ship Spares / Freight documentation experience, preferable in the M.E.
