Senior Executive, Customs House Agent

Could you be our new Senior Executive, Customs House Agent?

• Location: GAC India, Mumbai office.

• Reporting to: Head of Customs House Agent

• Department / Team: Logistics

• Employment Type: Permanent

• Travel requirements: As per requirement

• Key Tech/Tools: GAC Applications, Customs Portals, MS Office Suite

What would your day at GAC look like?

• Preparing Shipping Bill and Bill of Entry in ICEGATE through E-Sanchit independently through Visual Impex

• Checking the DBK rate and HSN Code of each export/import product in the documents’
  duty calculation

• Coordination with CHA field staff, carrier and forwarding team

• Communication with customers and updating DSR and other communications

• Preparation of SIMS, PIMS, NFMIMS in DGFT portal on behalf of the customer, if needed

• Arranging Delivery Order from carrier 

• Performing all procedures as per the Indian Customs Act 1962 and company SOPs for import/export to ensure compliance, smooth clearance, and customer satisfaction

• Verifying shipping documents and providing advice to clients to comply with Customs regulations to ensure correctness of documentation.

What are we looking for?

• Education: Degree level

• Experience: 5-10 years’ experience in import/ export/ CHA documentation

• Technical Skills: Good know how of DGFT Portals, ICEGATE and other Government of India portals & applications relevant to customs documentation.

• MS Office suite – Word & Excel

• Soft skills: Teamwork, communication and attention to detail.
