Job description

The main purpose of the job is to develop Import Air Consolidation and Key trade lane products

within GAC Dubai and increase commercial activity to develop a strong, sustainable client base.

The focus is on increasing volumes & operating income, sourcing the required cargo commodity to benefit existing consolidation products, and enhancing G2G trade lanes and partner consolidation service from niche markets. The job contributes towards enhancing GAC Dubai’s airfreight status in the market, our Group relationships and throughput figures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Source new customer base and contribute to increasing Air consolidation volumes for all key trade lanes, as required by the Sales manager/team.
  • Achieve sales targets in terms of revenue and volume.
  • Manage the Sales and Customer Service teams.
  • Monitor and upgrade credit limits for existing and new clients.
  • Develop and implement sales strategy to grow revenue.
  • Identify and target prospective new customers.
  • Resolve problems through collaboration with local management team regarding customer issues.
  • Maintain ‘GACSales’ database for prospects and current customers within territory.
  • Promote self-development and enhance market & competitor knowledge.


Job requirements

Educational Qualification Post graduate or MBA holder

Professional Qualification Diploma in International Transport and Supply Chain Management

Specialist Knowledge High level of industry knowledge

Communication / Language Excellent English communication skills with high level of business writing skills, presentation skills, ability to integrate with various nationalities and assist in achieving group dynamics

Computer Aptitude Proficient with MS Office and MS Outlook

Detailed Experience Levels Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar role and 3-5 years’ working experience in the UAE
