We are looking for the right person to join our team in Dammam as our new Procurement Specialist. Could it be you?
What would your day look like?
If you join us in this role, you will play a key role in managing procurement activities and sourcing strategies that support our shipping, logistics, marine and gas operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services while delivering cost efficiencies, maintaining quality standards and supporting operational continuity.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Managing end-to-end procurement activities for operational, technical and corporate requirements.
Sourcing suppliers, conducting RFQs/tenders and negotiating commercial terms and contracts.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
Managing approved vendor databases and supporting supplier qualification processes.
Monitoring supplier performance and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations and applicable regulations.
Supporting procurement requirements for logistics, shipping, marine and gas-related operations and projects.
Conducting spend analysis, cost optimization initiatives and procurement reporting.
Coordinating closely with Finance, Operations and Project teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Identifying procurement risks and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives.
Job requirements
What are we looking for?
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
3–5 years of procurement experience, preferably within logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, marine services or the oil & gas sector.
Proven experience in supplier sourcing, vendor management and contract negotiations.
Experience managing procurement processes through ERP systems.
Knowledge of logistics and shipping operations; experience in gas industry procurement will be an advantage.
Experience in cost management, procurement analytics and supplier performance management.
Skills
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Sound commercial and financial acumen.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
Strong planning, organization and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
Ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.
