Job description

GAC UK is looking for candidates for the role of Petroleum Cargo Inspector within our Marine and Terminal Services (MATS) team to be based in Belfast. Could it be you?

The key responsibilities are:

  • Carry out quantity determination inspections, including tank gauging, vessel surveys and cargo measurements in line with company and API procedures

  • Conduct cargo sampling and testing in accordance with customer requirements

  • Prepare and issue accurate, timely customer outturn reports,

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support service delivery and business growth

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and service quality

  • Plan and coordinate operational resources to ensure effective coverage of vessel discharges

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of surveying related work

  • TIC Council Petroleum Inspector Certification (formerly IFIA) preferred or willingness to obtain

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Full and clean driving licence
