We are looking for a self-motivated candidate to join our Piraeus cargo operations team, to assist colleagues in proactively recognizing and solving problems as part of their daily tasks.

 

The successful candidate will be assigned tasks related to cargo operations for our container carrier client OOCL, in the following three main categories:

Job requirements

Transshipment:

·        Arrange cargo to mainliners/feeders based on feasible connectivity and granted allocation.

·        Prepare necessary load/disc documents (TBUs/edi, load/disc lists, appointment/operations request forms, ANNEX I).

·        Prepare/Check IMO cargo documentation.

·        Resolve discrepancies with terminal/vessel operator prior to berthing, ensuring smooth cargo operations.

·        Check actual load. Disc data after vessel departure and create Operations Reports and feeder Job Orders.

 

Container Control:

·        Monitor stock of empty units to depot and terminal.

·        Arrange empty returns from local imports based on demand from local export and other ports.

·        Handle damaged units and arrange reposition to Far East according to Principal instructions.

·        Open pre-gates for entry of empty units to terminal, as needed.

·        Create trucking Job Orders.

·        Insert PTIs and Repair of Reefer Costs in system.

 

Port Terminal ops

·        Handle incidents like RF malfunctions, leakages, cargo re-alignments, etc.

·        Monitor OOCL operated vessels and coordinate with Captain/Principals for berthing position.

·        Send arrival/departure reports for OOCL operated vessels to partners
