Job description

Oversee daily shipping operational activities, ensuring seamless coordination with multiple stakeholders while effectively managing departmental P&L responsibilities

Job requirements

 

  • A minimum of 15 years’ proven experience in shipping agency services, with demonstrated expertise in people management.

  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage departmental P&L, meet KPIs, and deliver against defined targets and deadlines.

  • Proven capability to operate under pressure while maintaining focus on project milestones and deliverables.

  • Advanced skills in conflict management, with the ability to independently engage and negotiate with principals and senior stakeholders.

  • Exceptional leadership qualities with a high degree of self-motivation and accountability.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of international shipping operations and marine-related business practices.

  • Prior international work experience in diverse regions will be considered an asset.

  • Willingness to relocate to Guyana by Q1 2026 under a bachelor status package.

  • Professional credentials such as Membership in the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers or an equivalent degree in shipping/marine studies are preferred.
