We are currently recruiting a Marine and Terminal Operations Manager to join our team in Dublin. This role will be responsible for delivering first class service to our Marine and Terminal Services (MATS) clients, specifically in marine and jetty operator functions. The primary goal is to ensure seamless operations for the vessels and terminals we serve, preventing any delays.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Day to Day management of personnel

  • To ensure adequate staffing is in place to cover all jetty, shipping and terminal work

  • Take a lead role in the ongoing training and development of personnel

  • To produce procedures and risk assessments which should be reviewed regularly and in line with company policy

  • Perform audits and competency checks on staff to ensure compliance

  • To work within agreed budgets and ensure all invoicing is accurate and completed in a timely manner

  • To drive business development across Ireland

  • Lead customer review meetings and ensure any KPI targets are agreed and met

Job requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years Marine or Terminal experience.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally

  • Able to produce and maintain accurate documents.

  • Ability to problem solve and be proactive to meet the demands of our customers

  • Possess a driving license and has own means of transport

  • Have a good understanding and appreciation of a proactive safety culture.

Desirable

  • IOSH Managing Safely, or above

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products and an ability to adapt and use other software as required

  • in participating and providing constructive feedback in all audits and skills evaluations

  • First aid, fire safety, and sea survival training
