GAC UK is looking for candidates for the role of Operations Manager within our Marine and Terminal Services (MATS) team to be based in Belfast. Could it be you?
GAC UK employs over 300 experts across more than 25 offices covering all of the UK, Ireland and Gibraltar. We deliver a wide range of integrated shipping, logistics and marine services to the energy and shipping industries. We also serve specialised sectors like marine leisure, sports and events, automotive and aviation, providing complex and time-critical logistics solutions. The key responsibilities are:
Lead and Develop the MATS Operations Team
Day to Day management of Operational Personnel
Build and Maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders
Prepare and issue accurate, timely customer invoices
Increase operational efficiency and service quality by driving continuous improvement initiatives
Achieve financial targets for the MATS Department by increasing revenue in line with forecasts and budgets
Conduct regular audits of operators work
Job requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Marine and Terminal Services related work
OOW and STCW Certifications preferred
Appointed Person Certification desirable but not essential
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing environments and new situations
