Position: Operations Manager

The Role
This role oversees and leads all logistics and offshore operations, including sea freight, air freight, trucking, warehousing, rig support, ship spares, and vessel layup management. The successful candidate will ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and profitable business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading daily logistics and offshore operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution across all modes of transport.
Coordinating rig mobilization/demobilization and vessel layup projects while adhering to client requirements and local regulations.
Key liaison with authorities such as Customs, Marine Department, Port Authorities, and local councils.
Supporting business development by identifying opportunities, preparing quotations, and collaborating with commercial teams.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and service providers.
Leading, coaching, and developing operations and customer service teams to ensure competency and performance.
Monitoring budgets, KPIs, productivity, and operational costs to achieve profitability.
Ensuring HSSE compliance and risk management across all operational activities.
Job requirements
What we’re looking for:
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related disciplines preferred; minimum Diploma required.
At least 7 years’ experience in logistics/forwarding; 3 to 4 years in rig support, vessel layup, or marine/offshore operations.
Proven track record in managing operations teams and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
Skills & Attributes
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and logistics software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
High levels of professionalism, integrity, and resilience.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written) is required.
