Job description

The main purpose of the job is to ensure smooth clearance and delivery of commercial cargo shipments to the client’s warehouse/stores.

 The job exists to ensure all required documents are complete, coordinate with government authorities and service providers and monitor the entire procedure until completion.

 

The job contributes towards providing customers with complete solutions for customs clearance within the agreed time.

Job requirements

Academic Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Port Administration, International Trade, Maritime Engineering, or related fields.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in the maritime, port, or logistics sector.

  • Experience in operations coordination, handling maritime documentation, and liaising with shipping lines or port agents.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Understanding of import/export processes.

  • Proficiency in logistics management systems and port operations software.

  • Familiarity with national and international maritime regulations (e.g., IMO, ISPS, SOLAS).

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Organizational, planning, and operational follow-up capabilities.

Languages:

  • Spanish (fluent).

  • English (intermediate to advanced preferred).

Other Requirements:

  • Availability to work rotating shifts or according to operational demands.

  • Knowledge of port protocols.
