Position Summary

The Ocean Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing export ocean freight operations (FCL & LCL), ensuring accurate documentation, smooth shipment execution, excellent customer communication, and adherence to company quality standards. This role works closely with internal teams, customers, agents, and service providers to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Ocean Export Operations

  • Handle export ocean freight shipments (FCL & LCL), including preparation and verification of export documentation.

  • Issue Bills of Lading (Bs/L) and FCRs.

  • Coordinate and follow up with customers, customs authorities, carriers, agents, and other related parties.

  • Maintain timely and accurate communication with customers regarding shipment status.

Clearance & Transportation

  • Coordinate clearance and transportation for local and export shipments (FCL & LCL).

  • Ensure smooth execution aligned with company quality standards and customer/agent requirements.

Rates & Quoting

  • Request, compare, and negotiate rates with service providers.

  • Prepare and issue competitive quotations for ocean FCL/LCL inquiries.

  • Support overseas buyers by offering optimal routing and pricing solutions.

Billing & Data Management

  • Prepare invoices for export shipments and assist with collection of operating income.
