Job description

GAC Shipping Ireland is looking for candidates for the role of Marine and Terminal Services - Cargo Surveyor to be based in Dublin Port.  Could it be you?

A brief summary of the role and requirements are as follows :

  • Conduct inspections including manual gauging of shore and vessel tanks, along with the sampling and testing of petroleum products.

  • Produce accurate, clear and detailed survey reports

  • Maintain effective communication with customers, clients and the Marine and Cargo Surveying team to ensure accurate and consistent results

  • Follow all safety procedures and risk assessments, using PPE correctly and actively promoting a strong safety culture

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Full and clean driving licence

  • Marine and Cargo Surveying experience

  • Knowledge of Outturn reporting and performing manual calculations or similar experience.

  • Relevant Cargo Surveying Qualifications (TIC / IFIA is desirable but not essential)

  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
