Manager - Agency & Port Service

GAC is growing in Denmark, and we are now looking for an experienced ship agent ready to take the next step with our Offshore team Esjerg, in the newly created position of Manager - Agency & Port Service. Could it be you?

If you fit the bill, you will work closely with the Offshore team overseeing offshore, project and logistics operations, and report to our Head of Operations. This position presents the opportunity to become part of the team constantly working to develop the high-quality service we provide. Increased responsibilities will be assigned with demonstrated competency.

Daily Tasks

·         Documentation and clearance of ships upon arrival and departure

·         Communication with all involved parties during ships’ port calls and projects

·         Coordination of services and procurement

·         Manage assets and port services

·         Calculate and prepare quotations and tenders

·         Develop the department in collaboration with our other Managers

·         Delegate tasks to operational team

·         Provide input for continual improvement to processes and procedures

·         Miscellaneous administrative tasks such as invoicing for services provided

·         Most tasks can be completed during regular work hours, but as we provide 24/7/365 service, there will be periods of higher workload as well as work during irregular times – especially during the busy summer season.

·         This role may involve significant travel to ports as we provide services to vessels calling at ports throughout Denmark.

What we’re looking for

·         Recent experience in ship agency

·         Excellent written and verbal Danish and English

·         Team leading skills

·         Business development

·         Driver’s license

·         Maritime experience will be considered an advantage

·         Helpful and service-oriented attitude

·         Highly motivated and willing/able to take initiative
