Key Account Representative – Energy Logistics

Could you be our new Key Account Representative – Energy Logistics?

  We are looking for a Key Account Representative – Energy Logistics to join GAC Netherlands ’ team in Sri Lanka. You will coordinate end-to-end freight forwarding operations for energy customers, managing air, sea, and road shipments, customs clearance, documentation, and delivery while maintaining close communication with international customers and logistics partners. This role suits someone who is organised, proactive, and able to manage time-sensitive shipments in a fast-paced environment.

What will your day at GAC look like? 

• Coordinate end-to-end air, sea, and road freight forwarding operations. 

• Manage import, export, and domestic shipments, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. 

• Coordinate shipment of bookings, documentation, customs clearance, and deliveries. 

• Manage shipment files from job opening through invoicing and closure. 

• Keep customers updated on shipment progress, milestones, and any operational issues. 

• Liaise with international customers, overseas agents, carriers, suppliers, and the GAC Netherlands freight team. 

• Resolve shipment-related issues, service failures, and customer complaints promptly. 

• Ensure accurate and timely billing while maintaining and improving standard operating procedures. 

What are we looking for? 

1. Education: Diploma or higher qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding, or related field. 

2. Experience:  

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in logistics operations or freight forwarding. 

• Hands-on experience handling air, sea, and road freight. 

• Experience handling complex energy logistics operations is an advantage. 

4. Technical Skills: 

• Solid knowledge of import and export processes. 

• Knowledge of customs formalities, preferably in an international logistics environment. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems. 

• Good command of English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage. 

5. Personal Attributes: 

• Proactive, and detail-oriented. 

• Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills. 

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time-sensitive shipments. 

• Customer-focused with strong communication and coordination skills. 

• Flexible, adaptable, and able to take ownership of responsibilities.
