Job description

This role is key to coordinating road transport operations, working closely with external transport companies, supporting the internal sales team, and ensuring smooth first and last mile coordination in collaboration with GAC-Modern Freight warehouses in Greece, international partners and warehouses abroad.
You would become part the Greek team of the GAC Group, a global organisation which has been providing customers with logistics, shipping and marine services since 1956.

Job requirements
Key Responsibilities
· Collaborate with the internal sales team to provide competitive rates and tailored transport solutions for customer requests.
· Coordinate daily transport needs with third-party transport providers.
· Plan and allocate shipments based on availability, cost, and service level agreements.
· Monitor transport execution and resolve issues such as delays or capacity shortages.
· Maintain accurate records in ERP/TMS systems (e.g., GACfreight).
· Communicate with international logistics partners and warehouse teams abroad.
· Ensure smooth workflow with GAC-Modern Freight warehouses in Greece for first and last mile operations.
· Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
· Enhance the company’s image through responsible and professional behaviour.
Requirements
· BSc or equivalent degree
· 2 years’ experience in a similar position in road freight forwarding or transport coordination
· Strong understanding of the European road freight market and transport providers
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Proficiency in ERP or transport management systems
· Ability to effectively use MS Office 365 applications
· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
· Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in Greek and English, both verbally and in writing
