About GAC Marine LLC
From our fully equipped marine base in Abu Dhabi, UAE, GAC Marine offers comprehensive offshore marine support includes anchor handling, project cargo transportation, platform supply, crew changes and supplies, as well as rig moves and tug & barge operations. Operations are supported by our growing fleet of anchor handling tug supply vessels, anchor handling tugs, crew boats, tow tugs, barges, utility vessels and landing craft.
Our expert crew, maintenance and other land-based staff are at hand to facilitate short turn-around times for class surveys, repairs, and maintenance.
We are looking for the right person to join our team as a Finance Manager to be based on our Abu Dhabi marine base. The role is to assume total ownership of the financial, budget and accounting strategies with accountability to the Managing Director. The successful candidate will direct, monitor and control financial activities, ensure compliance with internal and statutory regulations, and be play a key role in corporate strategy and planning by producing forecasting and models for all aspects of current and future business.
Job Description
· Financial Planning and Reporting - Develop and implement financial plans to support the company’s growth and profitability. Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts to stakeholders. Direct and control of statistical records. Prepare/verify financial statements on a yearly, half-yearly, quarterly and monthly basis. Cash flow report to comply with internal and Group requirements within time frames. Prepare necessary reports for Board meetings.
· Budget Management and Cost Control - Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives. Implement cost control measures and efficiency improvements within operating costs.
· General Account Leadership - Prepare and review cash/bank balance, cash flow projections and associate balances to ensure adequate balances are available in the bank accounts, and that associate balances and general invoices are in line with company policies/procedures. Assist/update the GAC Marine LLC management of any shortfalls or improvements. Devise and apply internal controls, issue procedures, and monitor and control applications. Accountable for authorisation of payments.
· Regulatory Compliance - Liaise with financial institutions/insurance providers and other service providers. Coordinate with external/internal auditors to facilitate the completion of interim and final audit. Finalisation of financial statements.
· Performance & Asset Analysis - Analyse financial performance and provide insights to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. Asset Depreciation estimation for accurate asset financial performance assessment.
· Capital Investment & Commercial Business Planning Decisions - Formulate and lead financial modelling for capital investments in vessels, equipment, and technology demonstrating viability as part of a wider business case. Business tendering financial preparation of projections. Stakeholder relations delegate for board reviews and senior group activity with the MD.
· Technology Integration - Support the introduction across all financial platforms of the approved ERP system. Integrate IT solutions for managing financial data.
Job requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (CFA, CPA) preferred.
· CPA, CFA, ACCA – 1 qualification required.
· Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and strategic financial analysis.
· In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, audit procedures, and regulatory compliance.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficient with MS Office, basic Excel and knowledge of Accounting Software.
· Proficiency in financial and operational tools.
· A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 5 years in a management or leadership position.
· Experience in a similar in the maritime, transportation, aviation or logistics sectors would be preferred.
