GAC Marine operates from our fully equipped marine base in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our comprehensive offshore marine support includes anchor handling, project cargo transportation, platform supply, crew changes and supplies, as well as rig moves and tug & barge operations. Operations are supported by our growing fleet of anchor handling tug supply vessels, anchor handling tugs, crew boats, tow tugs, barges, utility vessels and landing craft.

Our expert crew, maintenance and other land-based staff are at hand to facilitate short turn-around times for class surveys, repairs, and maintenance.

The Finance Business Partner will support business functions and decision-making through analysis and engagement supported by data. The successful candidate will contribute towards maximising the company's financial performance through producing financial reports, analysis and forecasts for all aspects of current and future business. The best match for this role will combine strong accounting expertise with a digital mindset, leveraging technology and innovative approaches to drive efficiency and insight.

Job Description

Financial Analysis - Analyse and develop operational and technical financial performance data related to fleet, vessel type, marine base and overhead costs. Monitor business performance and develop financial models.

Budget Management & Cost Control - As part of the Finance team, manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the business  goals and objectives. Implement cost control measures and efficiency improvements within operating costs. Ensure budget planning is aligned to business set up and requirements.

Business Engagement - Monitor and follow-up the company’s business performance against budget, forecast and strategy. Monitor and communicate any financial risks and exposures that need to be mitigated. Provide commercial support to the business through KPI analysis, contract costing & pricing, investment appraisal and financial analysis.

Regulatory Compliance - Liaise with financial institutions/insurance providers and other service providers. Coordinate with external/internal auditors to facilitate the completion of interim and final audit. Finalisation of financial statements.

Ad hoc Tasks - Support with ad hoc tasks and projects as part of Finance team, including ERP implementation.

Job requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting.

·       CPA, CFA, ACCA, CA – 1 qualification required.

·       A minimum of 8 years’ progressive experience in finance business partnership roles 

·       Experience in maritime, transportation, aviation or logistics is desirable in a similar role.

·       Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and financial analysis.

·       Finance Business Partnership experience.

·       Strong relationship builder.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Proficient with MS Office, basic Excel and knowledge of Accounting Software.

·       Proficiency in financial and operational tools.
