GAC Shipping (India) Private Limited is seeking candidates for the position of Executive - Shipping Operations in Mumbai location,

The main purpose of the job

• Seamless and efficient handling of vessels at the port by coordinating ship and port operations, documentation relating to crew changes, & cargo activities

• Overseeing cargo activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards

• Act as a vital link between shipowners, port authorities, and stakeholders, addressing operational and documentation requirements, resolving emergencies, and maintaining transparent communication to minimize delays and thus ensure client satisfaction.

Key Activities

• Coordinate with Port authorities, Customs, immigration, for Vessel Arrival & Departure clearance to comply with regulations, streamline operations, and avoid delays.

• Coordination with Terminal & Receivers or Shippers for necessary arrangements to accept the vessel and receive the cargo without any delay.

• Preparation of all necessary documents, including manifests, Ship certificate copy, port & clearance papers, to ensure compliance with legal requirements while maintaining cost efficiency and transparency.

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly vessel lineups to Head Office (HO) accurately and on time, as HO uses this data to generate statistics and share key insights with the principal

• Punch Proforma Disbursement Accounts (PDAs) promptly, as these are shared by HO with the principal to provide cost estimates for vessel calls.

Role Requirements are:

1. Hand on experience in vessel boarding, cargo operations and good knowledge about ship agency operations

2. Knowledge and experience in managing port & customs officials

3. Hands on experience in preparing invoices - DA or preparing cost estimated based on port tariffs.

4. Shipping Operations experience for about 5 - 10 years
