Job description
GAC UK is looking for candidates for the role of Driver to be based in Aberdeen. Could it be you?

We deliver a wide range of integrated shipping, logistics and marine services to the energy and shipping industries. We also serve specialised sectors like marine leisure, sports and events, automotive and aviation, providing complex and time-critical logistics solutions. The key responsibilities are:
Carry out scheduled collections and deliveries using GAC vehicle(s), following the daily job plan provided by the Supervisor or their delegate.
Transport goods safely and efficiently, adhering to all UK road traffic laws and site-specific rules and regulations at customer and third-party locations.
Verify cargo against accompanying documentation at both collection and delivery points; report any discrepancies to the transport desk immediately.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of Proof of Delivery documentation to the transport desk on a daily basis.
Assist with the manual loading and unloading of cargo when required, in accordance with GAC’s manual handling procedures and safety guidelines.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness for the assigned vehicle, conducting daily checks and promptly reporting any defects or issues.

The ideal candidate will have:
Must hold a valid full clean UK driving licence.
Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional out of hours duties as required.
Strong attention to detail with good record keeping skills.
Excellent communication skills and a reliable, punctual and well organised approach to work.
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A good understanding of health and safety practices within a logistics or transport environment is desirable.
