Driver - Aberdeen

GAC UK is looking for candidates for the role of Driver to be based in Aberdeen. Could it be you?

The key responsibilities are:

• Carry out scheduled collections and deliveries using GAC vehicle(s), following the daily job plan provided by the Supervisor or their delegate.

• Transport goods safely and efficiently, adhering to all UK road traffic laws and site-specific rules and regulations at customer and third-party locations.

• Verify cargo against accompanying documentation at both collection and delivery points; report any discrepancies to the transport desk immediately.

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of Proof of Delivery documentation to the transport desk on a daily basis.

• Assist with the manual loading and unloading of cargo when required, in accordance with GAC’s manual handling procedures and safety guidelines.

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness for the assigned vehicle, conducting daily checks and promptly reporting any defects or issues.

Job Requirement

The ideal candidate will have:

• Must hold a valid full clean UK driving licence.

• Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional out of hours duties as required.

• Strong attention to detail with good record keeping skills.

• Excellent communication skills and a reliable, punctual and well organised approach to work.

• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• A good understanding of health and safety practices within a logistics or transport environment is desirable.
