Job description
Designation – Disbursement Executive
Location - Colombo, Sri Lanka
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of shipping and disbursement processes to join our team in Sri Lanka as a Disbursement Account (DA) Executive.
If you can manage multiple priorities, efficiently resolve issues and maintain accuracy while working within strict timelines, you could the one.
What Would Your Day Look Like?
If appointed, you will be responsible for the final scrutiny and processing of FDAs (Final Disbursement Accounts) to ensure compliance with client requirements, company procedures and industry standards. Your day will involve verifying tariffs, agreements and contractual rates, reviewing supporting documentation, calculating exchange rates and ROEs, resolving queries with agents and principals, and ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time. You will also contribute to cost-saving initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy in FDA processing.
Job requirements
Key Responsibilities
Process FDAs accurately and within assigned timelines.
Verify tariffs, agreements, contractual rates and supporting documents.
Raise and follow up on FDA queries with agents and principals.
Calculate and validate ROEs and payment balances.
Manage time-bar FDAs and ensure prompt action.
Coordinate with Operations and Accounts teams to resolve discrepancies.
Maintain high-quality standards in invoice presentation and variance analysis.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience in disbursement verification and cost item checks.
Basic knowledge of shipping and accounts.
Experience in FDA processing and invoice verification is an advantage.
Other Skills
Strong MS Excel, PDF, and Outlook skills.
Excellent written and verbal English communication.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Planning, organizational and decision-making skills.
Reliability, teamwork and a proactive approach to work.
