Role: Coordinator – Tanker & Husbandry

Could you be our new Coordinator – Tanker & Husbandry?

·        Location: Jakarta, Indonesia office.

·        Reporting to: Team Leader – Tanker & Husbandry

·        Department / team: Tanker department

·        Employment Type: Contract (1 Year), with the possibility of becoming a Permanent Employee based on performance and company requirements.

 

What would your day at GAC look like?

  • Communicate with principals, terminal operators, shipping companies and port authorities

  • Arrange advance payment of port charges to terminal operators and port authorities before vessel berthing.

  • Prepare and send proforma disbursement accounts to principals and follow up on remittances.

  • Handle ships’ spares, mail, crew changes, crew medical arrangements and other related requests.

  • Update the relevant operational registers and applications accurately and on time.

  • Coordinate with local agents and suppliers when required.

  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and keep relevant parties updated.

  • Handle agency service duties after receiving the appointment letter.

  • Share updates from local agents, terminals and authorities with ships, owners, principals and charterers as required.

Job requirements

What are we looking for?

  1.        Indonesian Citizen (WNI).

  2.        Bachelor's Degree from Maritime University.

  3.        2-5 years’ experience with a shipping company.

  4.        Knowledge of ship agency management.

  5.        Good communication skills in both Bahasa and English.

  6.        Ability to work within a team, collaborate with a high sense of responsibility.

  7.        Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to plan operations, manage vendors and support practical solutions.
