Job Description

 

The primary purpose of this role is to plan, direct, and control the commercial, contractual, and operational activities for an assigned client base. The role exists to effectively manage staff and operations, meet targets, deadlines, and customer KPIs, and support business growth through upselling while ensuring compliance with all established standards. This position contributes to the overall objectives of the Distribution Centre by delivering efficient operational management and exceptional customer service

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  1.        Maintain and strengthen customer relationships through effective use of CRM systems.

  2.       Ensure efficient and cost-effective operations by implementing a structured and measurable environment.

  3.       Reduce operational overheads in alignment with annually agreed targets.

  4.       Manage and develop a team of supervisors, operatives, and clerical staff within the designated area.

  5.       Maintain and enhance client profitability.

  6.       Achieve assigned upselling sales targets.

  7.       Ensure compliance with all GAC policies and procedures relevant to the business area.

  8.       Provide regular updates to management on the status of operations and projects.

  9.       Monitor and enforce staff compliance with health and safety standards.

  10.   Undertake additional tasks within the scope of the role as and when required.

  11.   Ensure adherence to quality management systems and compliance with GAC’s internal and external quality standards.

 

 

Requirements

 

  1.       MBA, BSc, or Industry Related degree

  2.       Valid UAE Driver’s License

  3.       Strong understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) and financial principles

  4.       Excellent communication skills in English

  5.       In-depth knowledge of standard Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionality; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  6.       Minimum of 5 years’ experience in large-scale or complex warehousing operations, with a solid understanding of commercial and contractual negotiations
