Commercial Specialist

 

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

 

We are looking for the right person to join the GAC Marine team in Abu Dhabi as a Commercial Specialist. Could it be you?

If appointed, you will support our commercial team with contract tendering and customer engagement, focusing on serving current clients and delivering prioritized growth. You will also provide commercial colleagues with pricing analyses, team coordination, and preparation of presentations, using communication and BI tools to visualize customer and market analytics and enable informed commercial decisions.

 

The Job

 

  • Customer Relationship Management – Accountable for the management of and setting up of a CRM platform for current and future customers. Use data generated from the CRM platform to develop analysis, dashboards and reporting related to pricing, business opportunities and market trends to facilitate informed commercial decisions.

  • Commercial Project Management – Project management of vessel fleet availability versus market opportunities and customer requirements. Prepare and execute commercial and marketing presentations (internal and external) and tender proposals as directed by the Commercial Manager / Commercial Director.

 

  • Tender Management – Responsible for initial contract and tender formation, as well as data collection to garner internal stakeholder engagement and approval for investment or deployment of assets, as required.

 

  • Business Support & Analysis – Responsible for delivering financial models for all projects and tenders. Coordination with functional experts to identify new and current project costs in coordination with the finance team. Providing support for presentations.

 

  • Commercial Technological Deployment – Support and management of technological tools for communicating, visualizing and sharing commercially focused information for internal use and decision making. To include use of Artificial Intelligence tools, as appropriate, as well as Microsoft applications and any CRM toolkit used by GAC Marine.

 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline such as Economics or Marketing.

  • In-depth commercial knowledge of GCC marine services or offshore operators. 

  • Chartering knowledge of and experience with offshore and/or towage vessels.

  • Technological knowledge of deployment of dashboard, business cases, pricing analysis and AI tools.

  • 5–8 years’ experience in a commercial function for a maritime/marine services operator.

  • Experience in continuous engagement with maritime clients.

  • Proven experience using technology for commercial decisions.
