Job description

Are you an experienced, detail‑oriented clearing and forwarding professional with strong knowledge of customs procedures and end‑to‑end import/export documentation? If your answer is ‘Yes’, you could be the person we’re looking for to join our team in Walvis Bay.

As Clearing & Forwarding Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating customs clearance, preparing documentation, managing shipments, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and port authority requirements. You will work closely with Customs, NamRA, service providers, shipping lines, and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate cargo movement and exceptional customer service.

Duties will include:

·       Coordinating full clearing and forwarding processes for import and export shipments.

·       Preparing accurate and compliant documentation for Customs, NamRA, port authorities, and relevant agencies.

·       Managing and processing transactions on CargoWise, SAP, Asycuda, and other C&F systems.

·       Liaising with Customs, NamRA, shipping lines, transporters, and local service providers.

·       Ensuring timely release and delivery of cargo.

·       Providing clear, accurate updates to customers and internal teams.

·       Maintaining strong relationships with industry stakeholders to support efficient operations.

·       Ensuring strict compliance with all customs regulations and company procedures.

Job requirements

What we’re looking for:

·       Minimum 5 years’ clearing & forwarding experience, with strong knowledge of import/export processes.

·       In‑depth understanding of customs requirements, documentation, and regulatory procedures.

·       Competence in CargoWise, SAP, Asycuda, and other relevant C&F systems.

·       Strong working relationships with Customs, NamRA, port authorities, and local service providers.

·       Strong communication skills with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy.

·       Customer‑focused mindset with excellent attention to detail.

·       Above‑average written and verbal communication skills in English.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and all C&F systems.

 

Skills & Qualifications

·       Educational Qualification: Minimum Grade 12

·       Professional Qualification: Not required, but customs or clearing & forwarding‑related qualifications will be an advantage
