GAC is a leading global provider of shipping, logistics and marine services, dedicated to fostering long-term relationships with customers, staff, and suppliers. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to take on the role of Business Development Manager in our GAC Dubai. Could it be you?
Job Description
The primary purpose of this role is to plan, direct, and control the commercial, contractual, and operational activities for an assigned client base. The successful candidate will be tasked with the effective management of staff and operations, and be expected to meet targets, deadlines and customer KPIs, and support business growth through upselling, while ensuring compliance with all established standards. This job plays a key role in achieving the overall objectives of our Distribution Centre by delivering efficient operational management and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Establish, develop and maintain contact with principals and potential clients / companies
Develop and expand logistics business
Establish and coordinate internal business opportunities among departments
Promote cooperation and communication between departments to avoid business loss
Assist and promote GAC ‘s logistics, marine and freight services
Provide advice, suggestions and recommendations for Business Managers and Sales Team
Increase and develop shipping business
Investigate and monitor competitive markets
Provide contacts and facilitate meetings between sales team and prospective clients
Manage other tasks within the scope of this job functions as / when required
Job requirements
Requirements
Graduate, bachelor’s degree
Valid UAE Driver’s License
Excellent communication skills in English
Knowledge of MS Office
Minimum 15 years’ experience in sales/business development in marine/logistics/shipping, at least which 10 years should be in a managerial role
Strong networking skills, knowledge of GCC market and balanced scorecard
