Business Development Manager
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
We are looking for the right person to join the GAC Marine team as a Business Development Manager. Could it be you?
If appointed, you will support the company as Business Development Manager, focusing on revenue growth by ensuring vessels remain on hire, participating in the tendering process and driving customer engagement for GAC Marine LLC.
The Job
Customer Engagement - Continuous focus on relationship building with key and potential customers. Demonstrates superior customer orientation by interfacing with customers and converting those engagements into solutions for current and new business. Ensuring all functions internally – operations, technical, crewing – are centred on a customer centric approach for projects and issues to be resolved.
Contract & Price Negotiations – Accountable for contract and negotiation management of all current contract price agreements. Responsible for building a business case & contract formation. Maximising revenue potential for GAC Marine assets. Ongoing analysis of market and competitors to ensure competitive pricing and optimisation.
Gather competitive market information – Collect market intelligence. Generate new customer strategies based on the market intel collected. Promote GAC Marine services and strengthen relationships to increase customers.
Revenue Growth – On-time response and quoting to customers within 24 hours. Resolving invoicing disputes and discussions with customers.
Tender Business Analysis – Seeking out new business opportunities. Responsible for delivering financial models for all projects and tenders. Coordination with functional experts to understand and seek costs for new projects and working with the finance team on current commercial projects.
Job requirements
What we’re looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in business or marine-related field.
Relevant Chartering or Maritime qualification.
Strong commercial understanding of GCC marine and offshore services.
Hands-on experience with vessels and chartering activities within the GCC region.
Proven ability to build customer relationships, negotiate effectively and conduct analysis and business case development.
Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the commercial function of a maritime or marine services operator.
Demonstrated experience in continuous engagement with maritime clients.
Proven track record in new business development through to project implementation.
Demonstrated commercial experience with contracts and Contract Purchase Agreements.
