Position Summary:
The Banking Clerk will play a crucial role within our logistics team, ensuring accurate and timely billing and invoicing to support the company's financial objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and providing invoices to clients, verifying supplier invoices, maintaining effective records, and collaborating with the credit control team to facilitate timely payments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue invoices and bills to clients promptly, adhering to established invoice lead times and ensuring accuracy in all billing documentation.
  • Verify supplier invoices to ensure they match purchase orders and delivery receipts, resolving any discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all billing transactions and documentation to support financial audits and reporting.
  • Work closely with the credit control team to monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, ensuring timely payment and resolution of any issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to address billing inquiries, provide support, and resolve any concerns in a professional manner.


Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in billing and invoicing, preferably within a logistics or general freight environment.
  • Effective verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to task management.
  • Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
