Job description

The person will be responsible for the development of freight forwarding business and contribute to revenue generation by developing sales opportunities. Will play a crucial role in creating business opportunities in both Air and Sea products

Should develop a good understanding of the local customer base, freight forwarding market, develop database of clients etc.

  • Build a good understanding of target customers and the assigned account base (contact, commodities, trade lanes, type of business, contract information including exceptions and service requirements).

  • Establish internal network in India cluster and globally to facilitate resolution of customer issues.

  • Build understanding of all service offerings to be able to offer integrated solutions.

  • Communicate significant trends, rate changes and policies to assigned accounts.

Job requirements

  • Should possess enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

  • Logistics work experience of 2-8 years. Knowledge & Experience in selling Ocean, Air, LCL, FCL and other logistics product & solution.

  • Ability to interact with senior stakeholders and build good engagement levels

  • A self-starter, who can work with complex business solutions and work through ambiguity.

  • Should be able to be in the constant hunt for new business and ensure their movement through the sales cycle.

  • You should have excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and oral).

  • Knowledge of trade.
