Accountant with Shipping background / Buchhalter Schifffahrt (m/w/d)

Due to increased activity, we are looking for an Accountant to fill a permanent position in Germany. The successful candidate will cooperate with the Operations team and GAC Group Finance functions, and report to the Managing Director.

This position provides a unique development opportunity for you to apply your expertise and experience and participate in further development of the high-quality service we provide. Increased responsibilities will be assigned with demonstrated competence.

Daily Tasks

• Payment processing

• Preparation of regular reports

• Reconciliation of statements

• Monitor and book departmental expenses and vendor invoices

• Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks such as invoicing for services provided

Other Job Details

• Expertise in HGB and well versed with the German tax regulations

• Optimizing and implementing best accounting practices

Desired Qualifications

• Recent accounting experience in Germany

• Excellent German and English communications skills (written and verbal)

• Resident in Germany

• Excellent IT skills and data discipline
